I'm really impressed ... I signed up for Penn Foster's bridal consultant class on Monday and only three short days later (today is Thursday), my first shipment of materials is here! Penn Foster is located in Scranton, PA and I'm in Northern Virginia, so it didn't have a long way to go, I suppose, but I'm still happy everything got here so fast.
So what's in the first shipment?
- a Welcome letter from Chris Schweitzer, the Chief Instructor
- "Dear Student ... yaddha yaddha yaddha ... "
- Penn Foster's Student Handbook
- which is also available online on the school website, but nice to have here
- the Professional Bridal Consultant program outline
- basically, a mini-syllabus for the class
- My official student ID card
- nothing too special here, just a paper card
- 2 study units:
- Learning Strategies
- Doing It Right, The Proper Way to Act
- .... and last, but not least, a Penn Foster Career School bumper sticker!!
- I think that's pretty cool ... nice touch!
I'm usually the type to just jump into something without reading the directions, but I want to do this right, so I'm going to take my time and go through everything, piece by piece.
