How do you know if it's right for you?

I was asked about how I know that studying online is right for you. I tell them it might not be right for everyone, but for me at this time in my life it is perfect. I work part time, have two small children and go to school on line. My schedule is full.

re: Online Study ...
As i was reading your blog it was like you were here in my apartment talking to me. You are an insperation. I would like to go back to school and try and get my degree. I have 5 children ans a full time job. My mother helps me watch all my kids. Is online school expensive? How long woull it take mee to get my first degree? Is it pay as you go? Where can i buy the books to get a head start on my degree?

Thank you for that comment. Five children are more than a handful; I should be asking you for advice. If going to school sounds likes what you want to do and it does, you can make it work. Your mother helps with the children. I have two children and do my schooling while they are at school and my Husband helps with them. Sundays are the big day for assignments and I have a final this Sunday, so, usually my husband will spend the day with the kids so I am able to get my homework done. You really need self discipline and really stick to a schedule. It took me almost four months to really have my schedule down perfect. Of course there are little problems that arise, such as kids, emergency phone calls, etc. but if you are doing a paper you could walk away and when you return it is still there waiting for you. That is the great part of online classes. In a conventional college if you walked out of class you just missed the whole lecture and now probably feel lost. As for the cost I cannot give you an exact amount I believe every degree is different and it depends on what you are going to school for. Otherwise I suggest you would need to call and speak to a financial counselor who will help you out and point you in the right direction into financing your education. I can give you a number if you like? You cannot purchase any books for online class as they come with your class and I believe they are revised every so often and the syllabus changes too. If you need any more advice feel free to write me. Hope I helped :)
