I love reading your blogs. I read your story and you have a lot of experiences. You are also a pretty woman with a lot of experience. I too worked in the fields in Bakersfield for over 5 years. I need to make a better lifee for my children and my mothr. Are on line classes hard? I am not good in english and in math. How long are each class? I was told about 6 months a piece. Is that true? Do you hhave a GPA? I do not think online class furnish students with Gpa's. Do u need a certain computer or apple macintosh computers ok?

Field work is a hard job. And 5 years of hard labor is more than enough for a woman. I am glad you want to make a better life for your children and mother. On-line classes are actual college course. What makes it a bit easier is that you read your materials at your own pace. Usually you read your books a week in advance and you will have no problems. There is different area in Axia's website that will help you with Writing and Math. Classes are in 9 week blocks. So, you know in 9 weeks you will be done with two courses. They are accelerated courses and to get your degree a little sooner than if you were attending a conventional college. You do have a G.P.A. and mine is at a 3.8 right now. I am going to try to keep it there and not go any lower. Everytime you log on to school with Axia College your GPA automatically shows up on your home page, Kind of a reminder where you stand in your education. I was not a great high school student in fact I was average a solid “C” student, and here in college I am doing much better. I work on a Dell computer. In fact when you sign up with Axia there is a Dell website you could go in and order a computer and receive a discount on your purchase. As for Macintosh I was told last year that they were try to make it compatible with the school and the reason why was because Mac’s did not have Word and Now Mac carries a Word program, so you most likely be able to use your Macintosh. I hope I answered your questions. I wish you the best and if I can help you out drop me a line.
