My name is Arlyne (pronounced "r-lean"). I was born in East Los Angeles and went to high school in downtown L.A. I have had my share of different jobs, from party line operator, caregiver to a delivery driver for the local school district. I love helping people and making a difference.
My mother passed away the . . . in 2003, Dec 31, 2003. I did not like the way the hospital took care of her; they did not show compassion to families in the emergency room . . . I lost my mom and best friend.
I promised myself I would work in the healthcare area, and make sure that nurses pay attention and show compassion for the family members that are around them when life is passing. I am going to continue my education with UOP and so far plan on getting my Masters. I love online classes, they let me be a mom, work, and take care of my home.
About My University of Phoenix Experience
My name is Arlyne (pronounced "r-lean") I live and a hot and extreme city in southwest California. I was born in East Los Angeles and went to high school in downtown L.A. I grow up around gangs and drugs, but was smart enough never to join a gang or do drugs. I have had my share of different jobs, from party line operator, caregiver to a delivery driver for the local school district. My favorite was working at a retirement community for Alzheimer and Dementia residents. I love helping people and making a difference.
My mother passed away the last day in 2003, Dec 31, 2003. I did not like the way the hospital took care of her; they did not show compassion to families in the emergency room. We took her in for a so-called seizure, and the fourth day in the hospital we were told it was a massive stroke. On the fifth day, I lost my mom and best friend.
I promised myself I would work in the healthcare area, and make sure that nurses pay attention and show compassion for the family members that are around them when life is passing. I am going to continue my education with UOP and so far plan on getting my Master's. I love online classes, they let me be a mom, work, and take care of my home. I have a husband who is very supportive and very proud of me, and wants me to continue my education. I have two children Alex who turned 7 last August 18th, and started 2nd grade. I also have a daughter Erica who is 5, and started kindergarten in last August.
