So I finally got the full scoop on Western New Mexico University and everything looks like a go with a small problem. It seems classes start next Monday and they’re so backlogged on applications that they have not had time to review mine as of yet. Fortunately a woman name Catherine is working with the admissions department to get a few of us who applied to the graduate program over the holiday break pushed through. Here’s to hoping she is successful.
As for the summer programs I was so worried about. If I were to take 6 semester hours during the normal 16 week semester and 1 class during one of the two 5 week summer semesters then I will be considered a half time student. As long as I do not exceed 6 semester hours in a semester I will also receive the in state tuition, which as you may have imagined is a lot cheaper than the cost would otherwise be. And the rates are pretty darn reasonable, even cheaper than Fort Hays State University which is a tough act to follow cost wise. What’s even cooler is that they have a 5 installment payment plan per semester during the normal semesters which keeps things very manageable.
So tomorrow I have to pick out the 2 up coming classes that I want to register for and pray that my application gets accepted. I probably need to go ahead and make plans to purchase the books this week as well.
As for the interview I had Friday, sorry but I haven’t heard anything yet. No worries, I’ll post just as soon as I get word one way or the other.
