I popped in tonight on the Ashford University Discussion Board all ready to spend a couple of hours answering a Discussion Question then going to bed. Well the problem is, the discussion question seems to be a series of concept questions in the book which must be answered before you have all of the pertinent information to answer the Discussion Board question. However you only get credit for the Discussion Board questions. Perhaps I have underestimated the amount of work the Discussion Board will be. Often, you simply read the assignments, understand the concepts, look at the posted question on the Discussion Board, answer the question while supporting your argument using outside sources. No problem at all really if you are used to conducting research, of which I am. However this approach is new to me. Something of a curve ball when all I have been seeing up to this point have been fastballs, albeit some pretty mean ones. So I’m going to have to go to bed early tonight in order to wake up extra early tomorrow to work on this some more. I’m brain dead at the moment and quickly losing steam.
“So how is the work life balance going?”-nobody
Oh, thanks for asking. Currently I am still working full time, going to school full time. We are also closing on my house on Friday, then having contractors come through for the first week we own the house before we step a single foot in it to replace the OEM carpeting with a much more maintenance free tile throughout the entire house. THEN, I get to start moving all of my stuff back in. Yipee! I’m honestly worn thin. I find it a test of character that I hit the roughest patch of my MBA while selling, building then buying a house. Basically by the time I am moved in I should be in my last couple weeks of my core requirements. I have a vacation the last week of March and it will be in my new house with all of the moving done. I think it might be time for a margarita or four followed by copious amounts of laying about intermittently interrupted by the occasional nap. I am so looking forward to putting the next 5 weeks behind me. Is it bad to say that?
