I guess Ashford University is now officially on the “big boy” political map. So far Ashford has had visits from John Edwards and Barrack Obama last year and now we have had an actual President of the United States visit, Mr. Bill Clinton himself, on behalf of his wife of course.

For a small “for profit” university that isn’t half bad for the past 12 months eh? Before long perhaps even the Republican Party will take note.
I’m not a big fan of Mr. Clinton or his beloved spouse, or Edwards and Obama for that matter, but it is very cool to be part of a university that has become part of the electoral process. I realize of course that Ashford will probably never be as politically oriented as say, Harvard, Columbia, George Washington or Liberty, but who cares. This is Clinton, Iowa we’re talking about here, not the states surrounding D.C.
Among other events at Ashford, I’ve officially turned in my first assignment for Managerial Accounting and it wasn’t all that bad, so far. Okay, so I know that that little bit of information will not likely make the Ashford University newsletter or anything, but I’m glad that we didn’t start off knee deep in numbers and formulas. As for how the professor grades the assignments, time will tell.
I have noticed that many of the same people are in this class that I have had in several of the previous classes, which is nice since I have a general knowledge of who to read on the discussion boards. Some people will go into a huge diatribe without ever actually saying anything, kind of like this blog post right? Anyways, those are the guys to avoid. Others will hit you with so much information you’re not sure where to begin your reply. So I try to stick with the same 3 or 4 people in order to get some consistency and clarity from one post to the next.
Well, it looks like the start of a weekend for me…
