This last week was my 3
rd week in Managerial Economics and marks the ½ way point for this course. I have to admit, I will be thrilled when it's through. I can't wait until Christmas break, I've been in class without a day off since I very first enrolled and it's been very hectic, manageable, but hectic. When this class is done I will be halfway through with my degree program. My next two classes will wrap up the core requirements, Managerial Finance and Managerial Accounting, both of which I expect will be very challenging to say the least.
I considered changing my emphasis from Organizational Leadership to Human Resources since I am very interested in HR, but after looking at various job prospects out there for an MBA in my area, I have decided to keep the OL emphasis.
I'll admit it, I'm getting tired. The degree program has been pretty wearing on me and that little stint where I thought I was Superman where I doubled my classes up didn't help matters one bit. When I'm through with this program, I think I'm going to take a nice, long, relaxing vacation in someplace tropical, with beaches, blue water and exotic varieties of alcoholic drinks served in hollowed out coconuts. These next 14 weeks will be interesting to say the least. Finance and Accounting have been my Achilles heal in this program and Managerial Economics has already eaten my lunch so I don't really think I'll be facing either course at 100%. Hopefully I can make the most of Christmas break. Next year I will have short one to two week breaks between classes which also should help, but it is the next two courses that are especially imposing.
Well, for now I've got to finish Managerial Economics with all of the lovely Algebraic, Calculus and Statistical bravado I've got, which isn't much.
