I'm not sure how many AMU/APU students we have around here, although I know people ask about them fairly frequently.
Anyone?

Well, it looks like my co-worker doesn't know of any either. He said he's not really into the forums but then there is certainly a level of networking within the school itself.
Once you get access to the classes, there is a wonderful forum you can jump on and shoot the sh*t, network, and all that good stuff.

Distance learning allows you to manage all those alltogether or otherwise, you would have not been able to continue with your course.
I also did my MBA from an online school. Doing a distance learning program, MBA, with your job and other day to day routines was never easy but I really enjoyed the ease of learning and the time limit of attending the classes. You just plan when you want to study. As this was my 1st time having a distance learning course, I plan to enroll in another degree soon.
online schools are really better than traditional schools.. aren't they..?
Good luck with your course and the key to success is to keep things organised and scheduled.
Online schools and distance learning have their advantages, like the ability to hold a full time job, studying when you can and not so many strict deadlines to stick to.
On the other hand they also have their disadvantages such as the support of tutors and other students not being in the same place as you. Although most creditable institutes do have an online student presence, it still is not as good as sitting with other course candidates and discussing issues face to face.
I am glad you have found the methods offered by distance learning to be of benefit to you.
Good luck with your other course.

I'm not sure what program you're taking, but I have plenty of serious deadlines in mine!
Hi yes! Try ratemyprofessor.com .. most of the faculty have been extensively reviewed in that site. If you have a chance - take a class with Robert Marlett - he teaches Project Management, Virtual Management etc.. great guy and you will learn a lot!
Also check the online forums which have a link from within the classroom - studnets are not as candid in there but there is a lot of lively activity about various subjects.

APU sounds like it is also a tough course in diligence. That's always a good sign up to a point. If it requires too many deadlines, it would seem that grades would suffer. I am considering that school, and I like the 8 or 16 week course schedule. How does that work? I have not talked to an admissions or academic couselor there yet as I just requested info tonite...6/10.
Thanks for any input. I appreciate it.
From what I understand, not all courses are offered in the 8 week format, at least year round. So it takes some planning. I had a friend at work who took one 16 week course and 2 8 week courses at once to make things work. You might want to contact the school directly, have you spoken to them?
I agree with Cajun that this is the sort of thing best learned from the school itself. I can say that many will allow students to stagger which sort of courses they take, like his example of a student taking one long course and two medium length courses at once.
