Hi lasalp..,
Slightly confused about your question.. If you don't mine can you be more clear.
Allied is DETC accredited and I'm sure the work may transfer into a degree program to some degree but from what I'm seeing it looks as if these are career diplomas measured in contact hours and not semester hours. This means that it would probably not work for your employer as it sounds like they reimburse based upon semester or quarter credit hours. The Allied courses are for non-degree credit and even though some of the work might transfer, it would likely be under experiential credit only.
Have you considered getting an associates degree in anything? If you have someone willing to pay for it I strongly, strongly urge you to find a degree program that will allow greater transferability and give you options. Even an associate’s degree in liberal arts would be good to have.
I second the idea of getting an Associate's degree if that's an option. Even Associate degrees that aren't designed for transfer into Bachelor's programs often can be anyway should you want to move forward with your education later.
Thank you so much for your post.
