A new report recently by Eduventures earlier this month revealed the “best-performing” programs offered by online universities. According to their findings, online bachelor degree programs lead the pack with the greatest number of online students enrolled in those programs. The majority of online universities have students who are completing their B.A. or B.S. online. Associate degree programs were the second most popular for online degree programs. Most of the online student community is focused on finishing their education to see some real results. The Eduventures program director & senior research analyst, Mr. Richard Garrett commented:
"The degree-led profile of online higher education is in line with consumer demand for postsecondary education with strong career impact, and is indicative of the greater return on investment to institutions of longer, more expensive programs."
In total, 163 online colleges and online universities participated in the study and the report outlined what programs are most popular for online education:
Online Associate Degrees
Online Bachelor Degrees
Online Masters Degrees
The report also noted that many of the online universities were working on expanding educational programs within these areas. They will be planning on providing programs on all levels, such as doctoral and certification programs, as well as noncredit programs.

Online instructional program
Online degrees sound great, and many universities are building the technology to offer distance learning programs. Yet, some universities still require you to use other mediums to obtain your online degrees besides your computer. Some programs require you to use video or telephone conferencing that are less effective. The best online degrees are earned from universities that are fully taught online. Being fully taught via the internet also means that you should look at online degree programs that are taught by qualified professors. Many online programs only hire local teachers………….

First, know exactly why you want to earn your degree online. Do you want to get a promotion with your current employer, but s/he is only looking at coworkers with degrees? Are you seeing positions posted online or in the newspapers that you know you can do, but you need a degree to apply?
